The Bible was in my sippy cup. The Bible was in my cereal. The Bible was in my book bag. The Bible was in my crib. The Bible was under the Christmas tree. The Bible was in the mailbox. The Bible was everywhere I left and everywhere I went. Where I am from people identify with the Bible in interesting ways—to show you how interesting—My Grandmother Claytes would say, “Harold you gone be the only Bible some people ever read so be mindful.” I didn’t understand it then but as I got older I started to scratch the surface of her wisdom. As a member of Jerusalem Holy Church the Bible was taught in beautiful ways. One of these ways was through music the best music you ever heard in your life. I met Abraham, Issac, and Jacob—Moses, King David and His Son Solomon, Elijah and Jesus through music at my church. Let me show you what I mean— I can just say these words and 10 out of 10 people who grew up like me will hear a melody to these words. Jesus loves me this I know for the Bible tells me so little ones to Him belong they are weak but He is strong. Music came with my religion and so did identifying with a book in some way, shape, or form. After reading scripture 22:39 in The Pilgrimage I found myself unable to read anything else but The Holy Quran. I been Inclining To Blackness ever since.
